The top 3 reasons Cole will probably not be potty trained before the New Year...
1. He's still completely satisfied with sitting and playing in a squishy, poopy diaper.
2. He's absolutely terrified to sit on the potty.... arches his back to quickly make his escape.
3. He's still about 6 inches away from being tall enough to stand and make a successful "shot" into the toilet.
Sigh.... maybe by kindergarten round up we'll have made the necessary progress. ;)

Both of my boys were over three before they were fully potty trained. Although a benefit of having boys (and lots of trees/bushes in the back yard), is the thrill of going outside. That definitely helped the process with our boys, though that may not work with it now getting cold. ;-)
Don't feel bad. Daniel is no where near being potty trained even though he has been using his potty chair successfully (though sporadically) since he was 18 months old. He will never, ever volunteer he has to go. And he, too, doesn't mind hanging out in a wet or dirty diaper. The only way we get him to use the potty chair is bribery. "Don't you want a jelly bean? Little boys who use the potty get jelly beans!!!" I keep hoping that one day he will miraculously potty-train himself. Please, Lord!
